Srinagar, Nov 02: Six CRPF troopers sustained injuries after the militants attacked on their convoy in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

Commanding Officer (CO) of 96 battalion, Amit Kumar told KNS that six CRPF personnel were injured after militant attacked heir vehicle bearing number HR684147 at Lazibal in Anantnag.Pic by, Muneeb Ul Islam/FK 

He said that two among them sustained bullet injuries while four others were injured after getting hit by broken glass panes of the vehicle.
Kumar said that the search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.

Meanwhile, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in an e-mailed statement issued to KNS claimed the responsibility of the attack, saying that “Mujahideen LeT successfully attacked on Army convoy in Anantnag and forces suffered heavy damage.”

He also said that “four Army men were killed and 7 others were injured. Mujahideen safely returned and reached their safe destination.” (KNS)
