‘Expresses sympathies with Zahiruddin’
Srinagar, Dec 16: Anjuman Shari Shain president and senior separatist leader Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi Saturday paid rich tribute to Magam youth Zahoor Ahmed Mir who was killed after forces opened fire to disperse protesters demanding a college for the area on 5 December 2007 when government had announced establishment of new degree colleges across the state.
He said that even after the expiry of 11 years, justice was not delivered to victim family. “The culprits are still roaming free,” Aga Syed added.
He also paid rich and glorious tributes to the militant commander Shams-ul-Haq on his 24th anniversary. He said that Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Shams-ul-Haq was a “God fearing, religious and a visionary personality who had dedicated all his life to serve the Islam and the freedom movement”.
“These personalities are very few in the world who are respected by one and all and who are continuously remembered after their martyrdom,” he said.
While remembering Sofi Mohammad Akbar on his death anniversary, Aga Hasan prayed for peace and “best place in Jannah for him”.
“Sofi Sahab showed courage and firmness in 1975 when he rejected the Indira-Sheikh Accord which was a sell-out of the sacrifices of Kashmiri people,” he said.
Aga Syed Hasan also expressed sympathies with Greater Kashmir Editor Zahiruddin whose mother breathed her last on Friday. While praying for the departed soul, Aga Hasan said that she was a noble soul and with a big heart. (CNS)
