JKLF leaders and activists stag protest at Lal Chowk against

Srinagar, Dec 22:  ahead of JRL valley wide protest 
against growing Indian oppression, police have arrested JKLF 
chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik from his residence and shifted him 
to central jail Srinagar. Police toady early morning raided the 
residence of JKLF chairman and arrested him. He was immediately 
shifted to central jail Srinagar on a judicial remand. Despite this 
arrest and police highhandedness, JKLF leaders and activists today 
staged a peaceful protest at Lal Chowk against the brutal killings 
of innocent Misra Bano, Ruby Jaan, Asif Iqbal ,Zahid Ahmad and 
others, against vandalizing and destroying properties ,unleashing 
of a fresh reign of terror and torture against common people, 
pellet terrorism and other oppressive measures. The call for this 
protest was given by Joint resistance leadership and JKLF leaders 
Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Zonal vice presidents 
Muhammad Yasin Butt, Muhammad Sideeq shah, zonal organizer Bashir 
Kashmiri, Leaders Zahoor Ahmad Butt, zonal press secretary Asharf 
bin Salam, Professor Javed, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad and 
others along with people from many walks of life in large numbers 
participated in it. Holding placards depicting photographs of 
recent innocent martyrs and their bereaved kith and kin and raising 
slogans against growing Indian terrorism, Protesters marched 
towards Budshah chowk and staged a peaceful sit-in there. This sit-
in was addressed by various JKLF leaders including Zonal president 
Noor Muhammad Kalwal. While addressing the participants of the 
protest and media person, Noor Sahib said that killing innocent men 
and women with impunity, vandalizing properties, looting houses and 
shops, torturing people, putting peoples residential houses to 
flames, clamping crackdowns to stop peoples protests, 
indiscriminate pellet and bullet firings and other acts to suppress 
resistance of Kashmiris, has become an order of the day and blood 
of humans has been turned into a cheapest commodity in Kashmir. 
JKLF leader said that these atrocities are being committed to 
suppress Kashmiri voices but the oppressors while committing these 
inhuman acts are forgetting the historical fact that freedom 
movements of nations never get suppressed by these kinds of 
tyrannies. Noor sahib said that Kashmiris will never tolerate this 
killing spree, atrocities and will keep protesting against these 
undemocratic and inhuman acts. He said that while human killings 
are being glamorized and celebrated and while trade and commerce 
have become more important than the high values like human life and 
dignity, oppressed nations like Kashmir will never shun their path 
of resistance. 
Meanwhile JKLF has expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over the 
sad demise of the mother of its senior member Ali Muhammad Mir of 
Nasrullahpora Budgam. Deceased Fatima Begum was a famous and 
respected lady of the area and her demise is being widely condoled. 
JKLF zonal and district leaders including Ashraf Bin Salam and 
Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan along with many others participated in the 
funeral prayers of the deceased and prayed for her heavenly abode.
