Police Station Kokernag received a written Complaint from one (name with held) that his daughter age about 15/16 yrs has been kidnapped by one Bashir Ahmad Sheikh age about 23/24 yrs ,Son of Mohd Akber Sheikh Resident of Matti Bidhad Anantnag .
In this regard, police station Kokernag registered FIR and investigation was set into motion.
On the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan (JKPS), a police team of Police station Kokernag headed by SHO Kokernag Inspector Raja Tasleem under the supervision of DYSP Kokernag Shri Ajaz Ahmad was constituted and raided at various suspected locations, police established various check points and also massive searches were launched in and out side the district in order to trace the culprit.
After strenuous efforts of Anantnag police, both the alleged accused and victim were traced out from Nishat Area of Srinagar ,Accused arrested and in this regard a case FIR NUMBER 191/2017 under section 363 RPC registered in Police Station Kokernag and further investigation is going on.
