Army ‘thrashes auto-driver’ for overtaking their vehicle

 

‘Those who tried to photo-shoot also beaten’

Srinagar, Dec 11: An Auto driver was allegedly mercilessly beaten by the soldiers of Indian Army in Ajas area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir.

Sources and eyewitnesses told KNS, the Auto driver identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie of Gundpora Bandipora was beaten to the pulp by Army men of 13RR when he tried to overtake their vehicle.

The injured driver was shifted to NTPHC Ajas for immediate treatment where from he was referred to JVC Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.

Sources said one person was also thrashed by Army when he tried to video-shoot the incident.
Soon after the incident, people staged protests that led to a slight traffic jam.
