Srinagar, Dec 18: Body of a 19-year-old youth from south Kashmir who was found hanging from a ceiling of a room in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur on Saturday last arrived in Valley and he was subsequently buried at his native village.
Police Sub-Inspector Baneer Singh, who was tasked to investigate the case had told Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS) over phone, that police recovered body of Zahid Ahmad Bhat from the ceiling at a rented room in Muhana Mandi area of Jaipur.
The body was hanging from the ceiling and it was taken it to Mahtama Gandhi hospital in the capital for postmortem and other legal medico formalities,” the officer had said.
Thedeceased youth was a resident of Hanger, Yaripora, Kulgam but was actually was putting up with his uncle at Chakoo, Harmain Shopian.
The body of the deceased arrived at his native today and he was buried amid sobs and tears. The police officer Baneer Singh told GNS today over phone that the post-mortem report of the deceased would be coming tomorrow.
“But preliminary probe suggest it was a case of suicide,” he said.(GNS)
