Cycles, books distributed among students in Budgam

160 centers for lower classes, 60 for upper classes to be set-up during winter: CEO

BUDGAM, DEC 03: The district administration today distributed cycles and books among the students of different government schools during a function held at Girls Higher Secondary School in Budgam.

Additional, Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Budgam was chief guest on the occasion, while as the function was presided over by the Chief Education Officer (CEO).

On the occasion, 90 cycles were distributed among the meritorious students for securing above 65 marks percentage in their matriculation exams last year. While as books distribution among the students from 1st standard to 8th standard was also started on the occasion.

While hailing the students for securing high percentage in exams, ADC urged students to continue their studies with more dedication.

He said that the cycles as awards given to them, would become inspiration for other students for the hard work and to perform better in their studies.

He stressed that with education, youth can play important role in shaping the future of their state.

On the occasion, CEO said that he was very joyful about the students for getting high percentage in their exams.

 “I want to see you to reach the pinnacle of success with your dedication and hard work,” he said.

He said that the free textbooks would be distributed among all the students up to 8th standard under all the 13 zonal offices of the district in next two days.

CEO further said during winter vacation, over 120 winter campuses would be set up across the district to impart free education to the lower classes from 3rd to 7th standards students.

He also informed that over 60 winter tutorial centres would be also established for upper classes from 8th to 12th class in the district.

 “There will be normal charges to be paid by the students at these winter education centres for heating and other arrangements for them,” he said.

CEO further informed that under Chief Minister’s Super- 50 coaching classes, an entrance coaching centre would be set up at Girls Higher Secondary School Budgam.
