DDC Anantnag reviews Tribal Sub-Plan

ANANTNAG, DEC 6: The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting of the Tribal Sub Plan here. The meeting was attended by the officers of Rural Development, Health, Education, R&B, PHE, PDD, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and other departments.

The DDC directed all the departments to conceive action plans for the development of 10 villages as model villages where all the facilities shall be ensured. The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 12.55 crore shall be spent for the development of Bakerwal Chek, Achenad, Chaklipora, Lehendajen, Khilan, Rakh e Brah, Larnoo, Bithard and Brar-i-Angan as model villages. The DDC also directed that other adjacent tribal areas can also be incorporated in the DPR formulation.

Meanwhile, the DDC also reviewed the works taken up by different departments in Bakerwal Chek. The executive engineer R&B informed the meeting that earthwork and culvert construction is underway while the tenders have been floated in other works. The ACD apprised the chair that construction of school building and lanes and drains are underway and shall be completed very soon.
