Bandipora, Dec 28 : Department of Drugs and Food Control Organization during its ongoing drive, Thursday suspended licenses of 3 retail /wholesale establishments in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district here.
On the directions of Dy Director Drug Controller Kashmir, Irfan Ahmad, the department has constituted two teams under the Supervision of Ishrat Amin and Mohd Bashir to conduct comprehensive market checking in the district.
Both the teams carried out surprise checking in various areas of Bandipora district especially Onagam, Arin, Mantrigam, Kralpora, and Main Town Bandipora.
During the surprise visit, they sealed medicine from the house Mohd Sultan of Mantrigam who is the employee in Health department.
Besides, they also seized illegal medicine worth 40 thousand from the house of Ghulam Mohiuddin Sheikh who is an employee of PHE department.
In main town Bandipora, the teams suspended licenses of 3 whole salers and one retailer.
Dy Director Drug Controller Kashmir Irfan Ahmad told KNS over phone that investigation is on in this regard and legal action will be taken against culprits.
Ahmad added that drive will continue in future. (KNS)
