Elderly man rescued by Kargil police

Srinagar, Dec 22: Kargil police rescued an elderly person who was trapped in freezing water of Suru River.
Kargil police received an information that an elderly man was trapped in freezing Suru river near Iqbal bridge Kargil. On reception of this information,  a rescue team headed by DySP HQ Kargil Shri Ishtyaq A Kacho along with SHO Kargil Shri Ghulam Ali and Inspector Shri Iftikhar Hussain of SDRF rushed to the spot to rescue the person.
On reaching the spot, it was found that the elderly man was trapped in the freezing water on a land surface in minus zero temperature. After constant efforts of Kargil Police, the elderly person was rescued who was later identified as later identified as Haji Isaq about 65 years old son of Mohammad Ibrahim resident of Ando Kargil.

  He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Kargil by the team. He was later handed over to his family members.
