Director Edu. Says centres need to fulfil requisite criteria to operate

Srinagar, Dec 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday reiterated that it will not allow the coaching centres in Kashmir Valley to function until they fulfil requisite formalities and seek proper registration from the concerned authorities.

Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo Director School Education Kashmir told KNS that the government is very prompt upon the issue of unregistered coaching centres witnessing a mushroom growth in Valley and that those failing to provide the requisite facilities to the students have been sealed. “There is absolutely no confusion in this regard.

The government is very clear that those who are registered with the Directorate of school education will be allowed to operate,” Dr Itoo said.

The Director Education added that so far the government has issued registration to 220 coaching centres in Kashmir Valley after they were found fulfilling the norms and criteria set by the government.

“Those coaching centres have been allowed to operate who were been having a positive report from the district committees. Those who were found undermining the set of rules were sealed,” said Dr Itoo.

He added that no coaching centre is Kashmir will be allowed to operate which has failed to get formal registration from the Directorate of School Education.

“We have asked the coaching centres to seek registration from the government.

Soon after they submit their pleas, the government thoroughly checks whether the coaching institute has followed requisite criteria and whether all required facilities are available there.

Afterthe satisfactory report from the district office, registration is accorded without delay,” Director Education Kashmir said. (KNS)
