Students suffer, staff says no one to sign salary bills
Karnah, Dec 13: Government Degree College Tangdar is without principal for last one and half month, which has adversely affected the academic as well as the smooth functioning of the college administration.
Upgraded in the year 2008, the educational institution continues to function in the temporary fabricated sheds as the constructive work of college building has seen no progress. It goes on a snail’s pace.
About 800 students both male and female enrolled in this college rue to poor infrastructure including lack of space and play ground. Moreover, the library is run by local fund employer and the post of librarian lies vacant, said the students.
The principal G N Palla was transferred in October this year after that the college is functioning without a head a student.
The staff members also suffer in the absence of the principal. The salary of the staff has not been released as there is no one authorized to sign bills.
“We appealed the higher ups in government to appoint a principal in this college so that they can get salaries, prepare bills and make day to day decisions,” a staff member said. (KNS)
