Hurriyat (G) denounces innocent civilian killings

‘India can never kill the sentiment that has always prevailed among people’

Srinagar, Dec 19 : Hurriyat Conference (G) strongly denouncing the innocent civilian killings, said that India can never kill the sentiment that has always prevailed among the people. Paying tributes to slain youth in Shopian gun fight, Hurriyat conference said that these youths are laying their precious lives, thus nourishing a sacred cause with their blood.
Blaming Indian forces for carrying planned massacre in state, Hurriyat (G) termed it sheer cowardice and inhuman act. Expressing deep grief over killing of an innocent lady in Shopian, Hurriyat said that during the weekend several innocents were killed by these brute forces.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) ridiculed Indian authorities, their media and their false propaganda, saying that their rhetoric and concocted stories of so-called bravery and valour stand exposed as these forces without any provocation are targeting innocent civilians.
Hurriyat Conference (G) appealed international community, Asia Watch and organisations for human rights to take cognizance of deteriorating situations and state sponsored terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Hurriyat Conference ridiculed the local pro-Indian parties and said that 8 lakh forces personnel deployed in occupied state are involved in heartless activities and gruesome crimes, saying that they are shedding crocodile tears over these heart wrenching incidents and their ostrich like approach and false sympathy over these killings is just mockery and deceit.
Blaming pro-Indian parties for strengthening the forced occupation, Hurriyat said that they are local faces of occupation and responsible for miseries, that people are facing.
Meanwhile on the directions of Syed Ali Geelani a deputation led by Mohammad Rafiq Owasi, Mukhtar Ahmad, Sajad Ahmad Sofi and Ishfaq Ahmad Khan visited various hospitals in Srinagar to enquire about the health conditions of the injured persons in Shopian shootout.
They said that the conditions of the patients in the hospitals is very bad and maximum youths have critical injuries due to the excessive use of pellet gun.
The deputation also extended the message of Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani to the patients in the hospitals and his prayers for their speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep grief over the demise of close relative of Mohamad Ashraf Sehrai, grandfather of Mohd Yunis Rather and accidental death of sister of Hurriyat secretary General, Gh Nabi Sumji and while extending his condolences, prayed for
