Jammu Princesses lift Chief Minister’s T-20 Premier League

DGP Dr. S.P Vaid doubled the prize money for winners and runners up.


Minister Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, J&K praises J&K Police, J&K Sports Council for the successful organization of the Women T-20 League, distributed prizes.
Jammu Dec 25: Chief Minister’s T-20 Premier League for women which was inaugurated on 16.12.2017 and organized by J&K Police (Home Guard/Civil Defence & SDRF) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council concluded today. In the finals Jammu Princesses beat Srinagar Queens. The chief guest on the closing ceremony was Shri Lal Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, J&K. 
 Speaking on this occasion Shri Lal Singh complemented the J&K Police particularly DGP J&K and DG/Commandant General Home Guard/Civil Defence & SDRF for organizing the competition of National level with International players. He also complemented the participants for giving good performances and the people of the Jammu for wholeheartedly supporting the event and witnessing the matches in large numbers.
  Speaking on this occasion the DGP Dr. S.P Vaid thanked the women players particularly from Nepal and Bangladesh and doubled the prize money for winners from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 lakh and for the runners up from Rs.50,000/- to Rs.1 lakh. Highlighting the importance of sports for the women the DGP extended the slogan “Beti Bachow Beti Padaoo by adding Aur Beti Khilaoo”. 
 In his welcome address DG/Commandant General, HG/CD & SDRF Shri Dilbag Singh, while thanking the Chief Minister and the DGP for their cooperation, support and guidance for organizing such a great event particularly for Women’s. He thanked J&K Sports Council for their help and technical support. He also thanked electronic / print media for a wonderful coverage / wide publicity of the league in state as well as International level as the story of the said event was also published in local dailies of Bangladesh. He also thanked the players of different states as well as from Nepal and Bangladesh.
 A number of senior officers of J&K Police, J&K Sports Council and other departments besides a huge gathering witnessed the final.
 The chief guest, Shri Lal Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, J&K, Dr. S.P Vaid, DGP J&K and Shri Dilbag Singh, DG/Commandant General, HG/CD & SDRF distributed the prizes among the winners and the players who gave exemplary performances.
