JKLF Delegations visit Shupian and Kupwara;pay homage to martyrs

Srinagar, Dec 20:  Terming the handing over of political activists arrested at Islamabad on 15th December 2017 to Special task force (SOG) and using customary illegal police tactics to prolong their incarceration has proved the fragility and absurdity of so-called Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir. Indian rulers and their Kashmiri puppets should feel some shame on these oppressive and undemocratic acts. This was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the ongoing oppression and extra-judicial tactics applied by police and other occupational forces. Terming the handing over of political activists of JKLF and Hurriyat (G) namely Meraj ud din Parray, Mudasir Ahmad, Umer Aadil Dar, Shah Wali Muhammad, Moulana Mudasir Nadwi and Abdul Ahad to special task force (SOG) and using traditional illegal police tactics to prolong their incarceration as worst form of intimidation, JKLF chairman said that by stopping a peaceful public rally using iron fist of police and forces , arresting peaceful political activists, using oppressive tactics to prolong their incarceration etc are all glaring examples of the fragility and absurdity of so-called Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir. JKLF chairman said that in November 2017, Indian finance minister Arun Jaitley and others issued press statements about defeating the resistance movement in Jammu Kashmir. These Indian ministers boastfully claimed that whole Jammu Kashmir was with India and that no one was with Resistance movement here. Joint resistance leadership while reciprocating these statements on 23rd November 2017 announced to hold a peaceful public rally in Islamabad and said that it was a litmus test for so-called Indian democracy and if Indian ministers and their Kashmiri stooges really believed in democracy and had faith in their own claims will allow this public meeting. Arrogant Indian rulers and their Kashmiri puppets led by PDP chose to ban the public rally and arrested me (JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik) and Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq along with many others and kept Syed Ali Shah Geeani under house as usual. Not only this, police also clamped a stringent curfew in Srinagar and whole of south Kashmir and arrested scores of people including above mentioned activists and thus banned the democratic program. This was a clear proof that Indian leadership and their local stooges possessed no guts to compete with the resistance camp on political front and only believed in suppressing the people’s voices with military and police might, said Yasin Mlaik. While condemning the slapping of public safety act (PSA) on JKLF activist in Banderpora Bijebihara namely Showkat Ahmad Bhat who has been shifted to Kuthwa jail now, JKLF chairman said that thousands of young and old have been put into jails and police stations by so-called democrats Which is a glaring example of the tyrannical behavior and undemocratic attitude of India and its local stooges.  Meanwhile JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt along with a delegation visited Kupwara and paid rich tributes to innocent martyr Asif Iqbal. Similarly JKLF district president Pulwama Javiad Ahmad Butt along with a delegation visited Batmuran Shupian and participated in the funeral prayers of martyr Ruby Jan. he also visited the bereaved family of martyr Tanveer ahmad and expressed solidarity with the. On both the places JKLF leaders while addressing people said that the sacred blood of these martyrs will never go in vain and their mission will be taken forward at every cost.
