‘Vehicles were found operating from erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand’

Srinagar, Dec 19 : The traffic police Srinagar on Tuesday said that it seized over 403 passenger vehicles who were operating from erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand in last one month.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the traffic police Srinagar City said that in compliance to the High Court directions, Traffic Police City Srinagar has seized more than 403 Sumo, Taveera, Xylo, Cabs who were found operating from the entry / exit points of the erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand since 05th of November, 2017.
“Moreover, 40 Buses / Mini buses have been seized as well as Route Permit of 24 vehicles have also been cancelled which were found operating from the erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand for violating the High Court directions,” the statement added.
They said that they want to convey to all Sumo, Taveera, Xylo, Bus / Mini Bus operators that they should not operate from the entry / exit points of the erstwhile Batamaloo bus stand as High Court direction is clear that no PSV should operate from erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand.
“By mean of this press release we want to communicate all PSV operators that they should not violate High Court orders and desist from operating from the erstwhile Batamalooo Bus stand or its entry / exit points as if any vehicle is found operating shall be seized immediately and can only be got released from High Court and even route permit shall be cancelled,” the statement added.
