Police public meeting held at police station Handwara

Srinagar, Dec 15: A PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group)  was held at Police station Handwara.
The meeting was presided over by Inspector  Azim Iqbal SHO police station  Handwara in which people from different sections of society participated.
Various social issues like drug menace, traffic mess, encroachment of footpaths by cart vendors etc.
The respectable citizens of locality raised some issues regarding non-availability of public toilets at bus stand Handwara. They further stated that New bus stand has become a dustbin as Muncipal committe Handwara never bothered to maintain the hygiene of Yard.
Participants also highlighted an issue regarding the traffic congestion from main chowk Handwara to Hospital Handwara as the said sector of road has been illegally encroached by cart vendors  etc.
At last SHO  Handwara thanked the participants for spending their precious time and assured them that their grievances will be redressed by concerned authorities on priority and appealed the general public to keep close vigil on anti social elements.
