Reshuffle in ministries, induction of new faces on cards

Srinagar, Dec 27: As Tasaduq Mufti is all set to be inducted in the cabinet of Jammu and Kashmir government, there are high chances of Change in Portfolios of various ministers by the coalition on Thursday.
Sources privy to this development told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that there are high chances of some ministers being given additional portfolios while some new faces also likely to be inducted in the council of ministers.
The speculations are also rife that the coalition will try to pacify the disgruntled voices within the cabinet as well.
Earlier, there were reports that few ministers in the coalition were unhappy over their portfolios and were demanding the chances in their ministries.
They were later pacified by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and assurances were given to them that their issues will be resolved in the next cabinet reshuffle.
As the time for the revamp has come, it is being believed that the portfolios of some ministers will be changed. The ministries that are likely to witness a revamp are of Agriculture, Youth Services and Sports, IT etc.
Sources also divulge that there will few faces who will be inducted into the council of ministers besides Tasaduq Mufti.
Pertinently, Governor NN Vohra last week sent his nod to the government over nominating Tasaduq as the member of the upper house of the state legislature. (KNS)
