Srinagar :J&K students union expressing a concern over the abduction of Raza Khan a Pakistani peace activist and convener of Aaghaz-e-Dosti — an initiative to help students from India and Pakistan come closer, said that mere celebration of human rights days is not sufficient; every country including India and Pakistan should respect basic human rights and protect those who advocate and fight for rights.
We have a number of people in Kashmir, India and other Asian countries who vanished in thin air and families still await their return. Disappearances are the worst kind of human rights violation where families go through immense pressure and face gruesome state of affairs, it must be curbed, and no further families should suffer, said Aasif wani a working president AJKSU.
Hoping that Raza would not meet the fate of thousands of disappeared people in Kashmir who never returned, Najeeb ahmad a JNU student and others, AJKSU appealed Pakistani authorities to take all measures to locate him.
