Poonch, December 7: An army trooper was injured after Pakistan violated ceasefire and resorted to firing along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu Division, officials said.
The officials told news agency GNS that the Pakistani troops targeted Indian Forward Posts in Degwar Malti area along LoC in Poonch today afternoon. In the firing, they said, a trooper of 2 Naga identified as Jeevan Singh, 36, was injured and he was referred to the hospital for treatment.
The officials said that Indian side also retaliated to the firing of other side and later the firing from both sides stopped. “The situation is tense but under control. The injured trooper is receiving treatment,” they added. (GNS)
