VOK arrests SMC employee for taking bribe

FIR registered, investigation taken up



Srinagar, Dec 23: Vigilance organisation Kashmir has arrested a SMC employee while accepting bribe in connection with preparation of Adhar.

ReliableVOK sources told KNS that acting on a complaint, the sleuths of State Vigilance Organization Kashmir on Saturday conducted a successful trap at SMC Srinagar (ward Nishat) and arrested Ghulam Mohammad Mochi S/O Khazir Mohammad Mochi R/O Dahruna Anantnag, at present Nishat Srinagar, while demanding and accepting illegal gratification from one person namely, Mushtaq Mohammad Wani in connection with the preparation of Adhaar Cards of his family.

The accused is working as a dealing hand of Adhaar Card section at SMC ward Nishat.

To this effect case FIR No. 33/2017 u/s 5(2) P.C Act, 4-A (Amendment) Act, 2014 stands registered in P/S VoK and investigation of the instant case is under progress. (KNS)
