Youth held in SOG raid, handed over to NIA in South Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 9: Police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) detained a youths from Chandgam area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir late last evening and today handed over him to NIA.

 

Official sources told news agency GNS that the team of SOG detained Tawseef Rasheed Malik s/o Abdul Rasheed Malik, on the pretext of questioning during a raid at his residence yesterday.

“Today the sleuths of NIA arrived in Pulwama who questioned Tawseef for some time”, they said, adding the police authorities later handed over Tawseef to NIA who took him along with them to New Delhi.

 

When Contacted SSP Pulwama Mohd Aslam confirmed the detention and said that the youth’s name surfaced during questioning of another person in Utter Pradesh  (UP) by NIA and as such he was detained here and handed over to NIA in connection with the case. (GNS)
