Visits slain Kupwara woman’s residence
Srinagar, Dec 25: Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen Zamrooda Habib strongly condemned the statement made by chairperson of State woman’s commission Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor wherein she had reportedly asked womenfolk “not to act in causal manner when encounters are raging between militants and government forces.”

“Without knowing the facts to create confusion and please her masters she has issued the statement in her comfortable room which is highly unfortunate,” Zamrooda Habib said.
She has asked SWC chairperson that how many families of these murdered women she has visited to find the facts.

According to the statement issued to KNS, Zamrooda personally visited the Yunus Village of Kupwarda where the 22 yeas young woman Maisara Akther wife of Ishfaq Ahmad Mir and mother of nine months baby girl Maryam Jan was murdered cold blooded by Indian forces.

On 11th December 2017 at 9.30 pm, they were asked by govt forces to come out from their houses all the family members even the murdered young Maisera Akther’s elderly physically challenged grandmother Sarwa Aapa was asked to come out, with the help of two family member she was taken out of her house, they were asked to stand in queue in the premises of their house and three half dead young people were brought there and were fired with hundreds of bullets.

At the same time they Indian forces started indiscriminate firing. Maisara Akther was directly hilted by bullet, she was not “acting causally” and there was no encounter, and also there is no possibility of encounter because no Indian army camp or army post is situated around.

The dead body of Maisara Akther was not allowed to take inside her house whole night the dead body was lying inside the premises when it was heavily raining.

Zamrooda Habib said that no one take one’s life lightly every one cares one self.SWS chair person has dwarfed the image of already defunct Women’s Commission. “She should know that it is the duty of State to provide safety and security to the citizens but due to state terrorism 14 young women have been killed.

Withoutknowing the reality and cause of these terrible deaths of women SWC chairperson should stop issuing the statements, by issuing such false statements she can’t do the justice to her chair,” she said.

Zamrooda paid tributes to all young women killed ‘ruthlessly’ and extended the solidarity with grieved families.

She visited the slain young woman Maisara Akther’s family shared their deep grief with her mother Zareefa Begum, who showed the site inside the premises of their house where her daughter was killed by Indian forces.

She has asked “what was the fault of little angles, nine months baby Maryam Jan and11 months baby Azzara of Ruby Jan of Shopion who are crying helplessly”.

“SWC Chairperson should know that in same manner Islamic university student Shaiesta of laihar Pulwama was killed inside her house and even FIR was not registered against that killing, Ratandeep Koru of Tral from same university was killed by thousands of pellets used on her by Govt forces,” she said.

She has asked SWC to collect all the facts of regarding the killings of women going on now and then and deliver the justice if the commission can. (KNS)
