Oppn to boycott CM’ s reply to Guv address: Omar
Jammu, Jan 10: proceedings in the legislative assembly on Wednesday started with the moving of an adjournment motion on the killing of a civilian by MLA Homeshalibugh Ab Majeed Larmi.
As the speaker assembly Kavinder Gupta disallowed the adjournment motion for a debate on the civilian killing moved by National Conference MLA Ab Majeed Larmi , the opposition members including Ab Majeed Larmi, We Rasheed and Devender Singh Rana went into the well of the house and protested against the speaker against his decision to disallow a debate on civilian killing.
Shoutingthe slogans ‘ Qatil Sarkar Hai Hai’ all the opposition members walked out from the house.
Talking to reporters outside the assembly complex senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammed Sagar told reporters ” we wanted a debate on civilian killing.

Speakerwho recently attended a meeting of ruling PDP-BJP alliance called by the Chief Minister is silencing opposition in the house’.
AnotherNational Conference leader Devender Singh Ran a told reporters’ Jammu Sou Raha hai, Kashmir jal raha hai, ladhak rou raha hai'( Jammu sleeping, Kashmir burning, Ladhak weeping). Congress legislature party leader Rigzin Jora told reporters ‘ the government has failed to imbibe a sense of security among the people in all the three regions of the state and denies even a debate on innocent killings’.
Though opposition members returned to the house after a short time but a pandemonium over the civilian killings again disrupted the proceeding6of the house.
Holding a banner ‘ reading ‘Stop civilian killings in Homeshalibug constituency in South Kashmir’ NC MLA Ab Majeed Larmi went into the well of the houses and started crying against the speaker on his decision to disallow a debate on civilian killings the parliamentary affairs minister Ab Rehman Veeri owned the responsibility for the civilian killing of Homeshalibug constituency and promised to punish the guilty.
Howeverformer Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stood up and told the house that his party members would boycott Chief Minister’s reply to motion of thanks on governor’s address .
Hesaid had Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti come to the house and said only what she has said in press statement over the civilian killing in Homeshalibug constituency, members of National Conference would love to hear the Chief Minister later in the day. KNS
