Jammu Jan 29: The recent killings of unarmed youth in Shopian and other places in Kashmir by Security Forces and continued shelling and cross firing on LOC has resulted in loss of life, property and mental agony amongst the people.

Keeping in view these grave issues, CPI(M) legislator M.Y. Tarigami  has submitted following adjournment motion to the Speaker urging for postponement of today’s business and taking up this important issue for discussion.  The Hon’ble Speaker allowed this for debate.

I want to give the notice of adjournment Motion for 29th of January 2018 in terms of Rule 56 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in J&K Legislative Assembly in order to discuss the situation that has arisen due to recent killing of unarmed youth in Shopian and other places in Kashmir besides continued shelling and cross firing on LOC which has resulted in loss of life and property and mental agony amongst the people. As such the day’s Business be suspended for holding full-fledged discussion on it.
