Srinagar, Jan 9: Independent MLA and AIP president Er Rasheed was on Tuesday marshalled out from the lower house of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly after he stormed into the Well of assembly while raising question over the detention of youth for singing Pakistani anthem during a cricket match in Bandipora recently.

The issue was actually raised by MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed, seeking pardon to the youth who sang the anthem and urged the Speaker Kavinder Gupta to give them a “second chance so that they are not booked under any charges.”

In the meantime, Rasheed intervened and stormed into the well of the house and shouted, “What is wrong if anyone sings Pakistani song?”

As the legislator continued raising the issue, the Speaker ordered the marshals and they removed Rasheed from the house. (GNS)
