Shopian, Jan 04: Ruling PDP leader and MLA Shopian, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat Wednesday said opposition National Conference and Congress should first remember who killed Asiya and Neelofar before pointing fingers towards the PDP-BJP coalition government for blinding Insha Mushtaq and others with pellets.
“The present government rehabilitated Insha but Asiya and Neelofar’s family members were accused by CBI of killing them,” Bhat said.
He said all three females were from his constituency and he knows the difference on approach of two governments.
“Blame game won’t help us. The civilian killings is not a new thing in Kashmir,” Bhat said.
He said the challenge before the political parties was to bring back youth, who are being instigated towards violence, into the mainstream.
“Stone pelting won’t solve the issue. The talks can solve the issue and the government has institutionalized the dialogue process by appointing Dineshwar Sharma as an interlocutor,”the PDP MLA said.
