Takes stock of ongoing training courses of HG volunteers

Jammu, Jan 10: Commandant General SDRF/HG/CD, Shri Dilbag Singh who was accompanied by Shri Javid Hassan Bhat, Director Home Guards Kashmir, Shri Bashir Ahmad Sofi, Commandant SDRF Ist Bn Sgr and Shri Sunil Raj SO to Commandant General today visited Anantnag and took stock of ongoing training of HG volunteers at Anantnag, Avalanche Victim Rescue course at Pahalgam. 

At Anantnag, Shri Dilbag Singh took stock of the progress in the ongoing basic training of HG volunteers, who are undergoing 45 days basic training course. He also interacted and listened to their problems and assured them of full support from the organization. He impressed upon them to acquire basic and other rescue skills so that they can be handy to the needy in distress.

Later He visited Aru-Pahalgam where a batch of    SDRF personnel is undergoing 15 days Avalanche Victim Rescue course (AVR), under the supervision of the instructors of Jawahar Mountaineering Institute Nunwan Pahalgam. Commandant General witnessed the progress in training and enquired from both trainers and trainees regarding the success of the training course. 
He was satisfied with the response. He further impressed upon them to acquire the necessary skills, so that they are able to do avalanche rescue and recovery in a professional way in case of any emergency.
