Jammu, Jan 18: Two civilians and a BSF man were killed while three others injured after India and Pakistan traded fire in two different areas along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.

An official said that 2 civilians and a BSF were killed while 3 others injured after Pakistan army resorted to massive shelling and firing in Arina and RS Pura sectors of Jammu.

“Woman was killed in Arina Sector while a youth died in RS Pura sector,” he said.

He identified the wounded civilians as Jeet Raj and Ravi Kumar both residents of Saikhurd and Krsihan Lal of Kortana, RS Pura Jammu.

The official added that a BSF man was killed in Samba sector of Jammu.

“Head Constable Jagpal Singh of A Coy 173 Bn was wounded after Pakistan resorted to firing on Indian posts. He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” the official said.

Yesterday, a BSF man identified as Suresh Kumar and an 8 year old girl were killed in RS Pura Sector in Pakistan firing. (CNS)
