DFP reacts to not producing Shabir Shah in court
Demands implementation of UNSC resolutions

Srinagar, Jan 04: Enforcement Directorate has nothing to prove against the incarcerated Freedom Party chief Shabir Ahmad Shah that is he was not produced before a Delhi Court yesterday.

The judge of Patiala House Court Delhi waited for the whole day but ED did not produce Shabir Shah only to skip the wrath of the court.

For hours ED told the court that Shabir Shah will be produced through video conferencing but finally the agency came with an excuse of faulty camera. Hence ED not only made a joke of justice but also of the judiciary of India.

Justice demands that Shabir Shah should be released forthwith till the accusations against him are proved but New Delhi is not only prolonging his detention but also skips courts. These tactics are to keep Shabir Shah away from the court and prolong his incarceration.

NewDelhi has used such tactics in past as well to break the political will of Shabir Shah but it has failed each time before the steadfastness, truthfulness and straightforwardness of Shabir Shah.

Meanwhile, Freedom Party has said in a statement that New Delhi has become habitual of ignoring promises made with Kashmiri people at international levels.

Thesepromises have been made through various resolutions at UNSC of which the resolution of January 5, 1949 is of utmost importance. India has not only ignored the said resolutions but the promises of its first Prime Minister, Pandit Nehru.

Freedom Party has said that India cannot deny the legitimacy and authenticity of the UN resolution which stand witness that political destiny of Jammu and Kashmir is yet to be decided.

The people of Jammu Kashmir have time and again pledged that they won’t take rest unless their political demands are fulfilled. They have rendered tremendous sacrifices and demand that international brethren should pressurize India to fulfill its promises made vis-à-vis Kashmir dispute. (KNS)
