Budgam, Jan 07: Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has expressed his grief and shock over the killing of four JK police jawans in an IED blast in Sopore, Baramulla yesterday.
Addressing a public meeting at Bon Zaingam, Khansahib, Hakeem Yaseen has said that unabated killing of innocent people in Kashmir was a cause of serious concern for all right thinking people as it is increasing the already heavy toll of orphans and widows.
He said much blood has flown down the Jhelum and the ongoing blood and mayhem in Kashmir should stop now in any way.
He said killing of an innocent police jawan or a civilian, both is against the tenents of all religion as killing of human beings in any manifestation has no place in a civilized society.
He has reiterated that violence is no solution to any problem adding that dialogue and reconciliation is the only way forward to seek resolution of all disputes including that of Kashmir problem.
Hakeem Yaseen announced that the construction of Kangripora bridge in Khansahib constituency has been completed at a cost of Rs.11 cr. and will be dedicated to the people within a few days.
The bridge will provide road connectivity to about 3 lakh populace of Khag, Beerwa and Khansahib Tehsils of district Budgam and will also act as a vital link to connect proposed road between Tossamaidan, Budgam tourist resort with Mandi in Poonch district.
He said that construction of buildings for Government Health Sub- Centers for Bon Zaingam, Gurwaith and Kaich-Raithan villages of Khansahib constituency have also been completed and shall be dedicated to the people shortly.
Responding to the demands of the people, Hakeem Yaseen assured that a Government High School will be established in Bon Zaingam during the current fiscal.
Hakeem Yaseen assured that all the promises made to the people of the district Budgam particularly Khansahib constituency will be fulfilled with their active cooperation and support.
He appealed the people to further strengthen People’s Democratic Front (PDF) so as to usher an era of peace, development and tranquility in the strife torn state.
He also cautioned the people against machinations of the opportunist politicians who exploit innocent people for their petty vested interests.
Hakeem Yaseen asked the people to be ready for proposed Panchayti Raj elections adding that the people should vote for honest ,upright and dedicated candidates without political considerations.
He said now the people are wise enough to differentiate between their friends and foes adding that they should out rightly reject exploitive elements. (KNS)
