Oppn stages walk out, Govt announces spl investigation team for probe

Jammu, Jan 18: Members of the main opposition National Conference, Congress along with PDF Chairman Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen and CPI(M) Secretary M Y Tarigami staged a walk out against the murder of a Bakerwal minor girl in Kathua district.

According to the KNS correspondent, as the assembly started its proceeding the opposition members created an uproar and Congress MLA G M Saroori demanded suspension of local SHO.

The opposition members alleged that minorities are being harassed in Jammu and fearful atmosphere is being created in areas where Muslims live in minority.
Replying to the charges of the opposition members parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rehman Veeri said that a special investigation team has been constituted to probe the rape and murder mystery case. However the opposition was not satisfied with reply of the minister and walked out amid anti government slogans from the house. (KNS)
