Poonch, Jan 28 : National Conference today accused central and state government for failure to restore peace and order in state with special reference to border situation.
He said that while chairing a public meeting of party at Banpat Poonch.
In his address, National Conference Provincial President youth Ajaz Jan said that present situation in Jammu and Kashmir, situation in valley as well as on borders, is quite worrisome.
“Government has failed to restore normalcy and coalition partner leaders are merely making claims contrary to ground situation ” Jan said.
He also issued concern over yesterday’s incident at Shopian involving civilian killings.
Jan also questioned silence of central government over border situation and said that with the statement of giving tough reply to Pakistan, government is washing hands from its responsibilities.
Earlier in the meeting, locals of Banpat Poonch raised a number of issues highlighting crisis of basic amenities and poor work culture in government institutions.
They especially highlighted crisis of water prevailing in the area and castigated Public Health Engineering department for failure to ensure smooth and proper functioning of water supply schemes.
