Jammu, Jan 12: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLC Qaiser Jamsheed Lone said on Friday that the electricity is playing hide and seek in Kashmir Valley since the move offices shifted to winter capital of the state.
Raising a question in the upper house, Jamsheed said the power department is not following the schedule in the region and the electricity is coming as a ‘Miss Call’ which adds to the miseries of people in the harsh winter.
He asked government to come clear on the issue.
Replying to the query, the works minister Naeem Akthar on behalf of PDD minister acknowledged the problem and said the government is working on different methods to overcome the power shortage.
Earlier, MoS Health Asiea Naqash on behalf of PDD minister said in Kashmir, there is curtailment and the department is following the schedule in the metered and non-metered areas.
However, Jamsheed quickly responded that no curtailment schedule is being followed in the valley. (GNS)
