Oppn’s adjournment motion disallowed 

Jammu, Jan 03: Pandemonium over the adjournment motion moved by the united opposition comprising National Conference, Congress, PDF, CPI (M) and AIP is disrupting the proceedings of the house.

According to the KNS correspondent, responding to the adjournment motion Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta told the opposition that Governor N N Vohra has already given clarification in his joint address to the state legislature yesterday.

Not satisfied with the speakers ruling the opposition members started slogan shouting as Speaker continued the proceedings of the house and allowed opposition members to speak on the Governor’s address.

Independent legislator from Langate Er Rashid followed by other opposition members went into the well of the house to protest in the podium before the speaker over his ruling on adjournment motion seeking debate on civilian killings in Kashmir. 

Heated orguments between the opposition members including Devender Singh Rana, Usman Majeed and Er Rashid continued till this report was being filed. (KNS)
