While interacting with the people at Simbole, Basha, Gowari, Kundka areas of Kuchal, Sharik Saroori said that acute shortage of drinking water was unprecedented, which speaks of callousness of the Government towards residents. They seem to have been held to ransom by the insensitive, irresponsible and anti-people Government. The government is deliberately denying them basic facilities, Sharik Saroori said.
Sharik Saroori said that instead responding to grim situation, arising in the wake of ill-conceived policies of the Coalition government, the Government is trying to divert the public attention from its failures and ill-conceived policies and programmes which instead of providing any succor to suffering people have only added to their miseries.
Expressing concern over the irregular supply of ration, Sharik Saroori asked the government to streamline the public distribution system. The poor sections of society, especially those living below poverty line, are totally dependent on public distribution system for ration as they cannot afford to buy rice, atta, sugar etc from open market, he added. He alleged that Coalition government has failed to solve day today problems of the people and common masses have to agitate on streets even for getting basic amenities like water, power and ration.
Lambasting on BJP, Sharik Saroori said that this party has betrayed people of Jammu and Kashmir as nothing has been done to solve their day to day problems. ” PDP and BJP are creating hype and plunging the state into uncalled for controversies over issues which are no way connected either with governance or the much hyped development,” he said.
Later Sharik Saroori also met with a deputation at Udeel Chatroo and projected various demands for early redressal. Mr. Saroori heard the deputation patiently and gave full assurance that Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, G. M Saroori to take up the all issues vigorously in the upcoming Assembly and assured that he (MLA Inderwal) will leave no stone unturned for early redressal of the genuine demands.
