Srinagar, Jan 22: Ruling PDP lawmaker cornered government for not notifying vacancies of Indian Forest Services and subsequent intimidation to the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
The lawmaker, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, MLA Sonwar, raised the question in the legislative house and accused the government of being non-serious in notifying the vacancies in IFS. He said it should be done sans any wastage of time and the same should be intimidated to the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change at an earliest.
“By not sending the list since last two years to the union government, our young students who have qualified the IFS are in distress”, MLA informed the House according to the GNS correspondent.
“We have huge talent in Jammu and Kashmir Kashmir but unfortunately discrimination is done with those who are ready for their postings due to government’s approach towards them.”
Mir referred to Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat, only Kashmiri who at the rank of 24 qualified the IFS in 2016.
He appealed the state government to send the yearly requirement after notifying the vacancies to the union government. (GNS)
