Srinagar, Jan 27 : Following the shutdown call given the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), the district administration Srinagar on Saturday decided to impose restrictions Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Stations on Sunday.
An official in the district administration informed KNS that the restrictions will be imposed in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Stations on Sunday.
“Areas falling under strict restrictions include Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, M.R.Gunj and Safakadal while partial restrictions will be imposed in the areas falling under two Police Stations including Kralkhud and Maisuma,” he said.
He said that the restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure.
Earlier, the JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for a complete shutdown on Sunday against the civilian killings in Shopian district on Saturday. (KNS)
