SOG detain four youth in Pulwama, Handwara

Srinagar, Jan 16: Four persons were detained by special operation group (SOG) of police in separate raids at Pulwama and Handwara areas in Kashmir Valley.


Official sources told GNS that three persons identified as Mudasir Kumar, Ajaz Kumar and Sanju Ganie all residents Chatapora Pulwama were picked up by SOG and police after they raided their respective residences today morning.


The trio was detained for questioning in a militant related case, they said.


SSP Pulwama Mohd Aslam Choudary confirming the detention said that the trio is being questioned.


Similarly, official sources said that Fayaz Ahmad Bhat (30) son of Wali Mohd of Pandithpora, Langate, Handwara in north Kashmir, a tipper driver by profession was held by the SOG few days back.


Police sources said that he was detained for questioning over his alleged links with militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. (GNS)
