Srinagar, Mar 7: Al-Qudus Traders Federation Wednesday appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene personally and direct concerned authorities to release flood relief for the losses they suffered during 2014 devastating deluge.
Traders said that from Patwari to Tehsidar, the concerned officials conducted detailed survey; however, that survey remained limited to papers only.
“Not a penny was given to 89 traders operating from the Al-Qudus market here in the heart of Srinagar city,” said Abdul Rehman Reshi.
“For past three years, we have been knocking at the doors of concerned officials but except assurances we got nothing,” he said.
The traders appealed Chief Minister and concerned MLA Syed Altaf Bukhari to direct the authorities to give immediate relief and rehabilitation to the flood-hit traders of the market. (CNS)
