Army pays tribute to soldier killed in snow slide in North Kashmir

 

Srinagar, Mar 6: Army on Tuesday paid tribute to its comrade who was killed in a snow avalanche at Pharkian Gali in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

In a solemn ceremony at BB Cantonment, Lt Gen A K Bhatt, Corps Commander, Chinar Corps and all ranks paid homage to the slain soldier.

Slain Amandeep Singh (25) was part of Snow Clearing Team at Pharkian Gali when he got caught in a snow slide.

The slain hails from Village Kalloh located in district Mansa of Punjab and had joined the Army in 2012. His body was flown for last rites to his native place from Srinagar. (CNS)
