Curbing drug menace 6 persons sent to judicial custody

 

Efforts of Rajouri Police lauded


Rajouri March 19: Continuing with its efforts to tighten noose against notorious elements involved in drugs peddling and addiction, authorities have sent six persons to judicial custody in Rajouri.

All these persons have been detained under 107, 151, 110 CrPC and taken into preventive custody from areas of Thanamandi and Darhal police stations.

They include Imtiaz Ahmed son of Maqbool Hussain resident of Ward no 10 Thanamandi, Amir Mohd son of Ghulam Mohd resident of Baramulla, Imtiyaz Ali son of Ali Mohd resident of Karyote Thanamandi, Sourab Kumar son of Manoj Kumar resident of Jawahar Nagar Rajouri, Manawar Hussain Shah son of Khalil Hussain Shah resident of Sawni Rajouri and Rafaqat Hussain son of Talib Hussain resident of Parori Kotranka.

All these persons have been lodged in judicial lockup on the directions of Executive Magistrate.

Rajouri police reiterates it’s commitment for stringent action against people involved in unlawful activities especially drugs menace.

The arrests were made by SHO Darhal Sub Inspector Habib Pathan under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Ch Iftkhar Ahmad.(KNB)
