Srinagar, March 27: Foundation of 30 day long digital film making course being organised by Film and Television Institute of India( Pune) in affiliation with Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu and Kashmir was laid today at the auditorium of Information Department Srinagar.
Muneer ul Islam Director Information and Public Relations J&K while inaugurating the session said it is just a starter we are going to have much more courses in future so that our multi talented media enthusiastics will get benefited.
He further made an announcement for which he has already got approval from Chief Miniter Mehbooba Mufti that ” All the deserving students who can qualify admission exam of FTII will get 100% scholarship from Government of Jammu and kashmir.
Director FTII Bhupendra Kainthola while taking to the huge gathering said “we always wished to teach such courses to the students of Kashmir but due to fewer seats avaliable at our campus everyone doesnt get a chance to get selected so we decided to conduct such courses in the differebt states and we started this process with Kashmir.
He further added that various different courses will be conducted in valley.
Director FTII Bhupendra Kainthola, Director Information and Public Relations Muneer ul Islam, Faculty FTII A S Kana, Course Director Jayahree Kanal and National Coordinator SKIFT Sandeep Shahare and various Film Makers were present in the gathering
Meanwhile Media students from GDC Baramullah, GDC MA Road Sriangar, GDC Anantang, Central University and Islamic University were also present in the event.
