Srinagar, March 03: The delegation of residents of Hajin Bandipora and its adjacent areas headed by Senior PDP Leader and MLC Yasir Reshi called on the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on today and brought issue of Degree College for Hajin area into her notice.

They said that Hajin is most suitable and ideal place for college and our children have to cover long distances to reach the colleges in and around Srinagar as there is no Degree College in our locality.”

Residents of Hajin have expressed the gratitude to Hon’ble CM Mehbooba Mufti for her assurance to entertain and acknowledge the demand for Degree College in the Area.

CM Mehbooba Mufti heard the deputation with patience and participants are confident that she will dispense Justice and acceed to the demand which will benefit the deserving aspirants to Collect education and will support to a large mass who have been distancing miles to pursue accodemician, many of them have deprived.

He said that Hajin area makes a fit case for grant of degree college added that the area has a vast potential of aspirants for Higher Education who face difficulties on geographical ‘ social and economic counts for academic and professional pursuits. He said that the people of Hajin and adjoining areas are hurt by the continued deceit from the rulers that be. The Hajin Tehsil is highly populated, having a vast area; it deserves and needs a Government Degree College Yasir said.

Soon after Meeting with CM Mehbooba Mufti, Reshi said that the area is producing competent teachers, professors and lecturers in different fields who wholeheartedly are doing a great job in the education sector. This indicates and clearly denotes that the area is fertile and brimming with talent, but to nourish it , Hajin needs a modern and technologically advanced Government Degree College, he added.
