Srinagar, March 3: CADP Employees Association Kashmir president and chief spokesperson of Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Aijaz Khan on Saturday expressed dismay over the participation of two cabinet ministers in an event by Hindu Ekta Manch wherein they demanded to hand over the case of the rape and murder of Kathua girl, to CBI.
Khan told GNS that people from all religions took out the march against the rapists and killers of a Delhi girl Nirbhaya.
“Similarly, in our neighbouring country Pakistan, the court, in a world record time of only 4 days, gave a life sentence to the rapist. Why it is not happening in JK,” he questioned.
“Our Jammu Kashmir Police is competent and now the SIT of crime branch which are more professional, are investigating the case. The presence of ministers in the march is aimed at delaying the investigations and nothing else,” Khan said, adding that they are giving it a religious colour.
“I want to tell them that we are 4.5 lakh employees and demanding stern punishment to the accused as was done by the Lahore court,” Ajaz Khan said.
“Hang the killers and rapists of the minor girl,” Khan demanded. (GNS)
