Horticulture deptt distribute free tool kits and seeds among tribal families in Tral

Pulwama, March 10 : Horticulture Department Tral distributed free tool kits and seeds for tribal fruit growers at Gulshanpora Village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Riyaz Ahmad Malik and Chief Horticulture Officer Pulwama RK Kotwal were the Chief Guests on the occasion.

ADC while adressing the farmers deliberated stressed upon them especially youth there to avail the maximum benefits of these schemes for raising their standard of living.

Chief Horticulture Officer Pulwama also interacted with them and told farmers to maintain all the methods of farming for the betterment of fruit industry.

He assured the farmers that all efforts would be made for the people in area and also said more and more programmes besides some training camps would be organised in future.

On the occasion, different agricultural equipments (tool kits), 2000 walnut seeds and 300 apple seeds were distributed free of cost among the 100 families of area.

Besides the officials of Hortculture the programme was attended by large number of farmers of the area.
