Sopore, 24 March: Pressing for a change in the society with regards to Women Empowerment,

Chief Judicial Magistrate Sopore Masrat Roohi said that its our prime duty to aware general public about the importance of a woman.

“We will not only organise such programmes but need to work on ground level as well for the safety and protection for women folk,” CJM Sopore said.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash, CJM Sopore Masrat Roohi, Registrar Kashmir University North Campus Dr. Irshad Ahmad, SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Ahmad, SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh, ARTO Jamshed Chowdhary, HOD Physics GDC Baramulla Tariq Ahmad Chalkoo, Rafeeq Ahmad Masoodi Social activist Sheikh Aamir and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.

DC Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

During the program speakers talked at length about women empowerment, discrimination at various levels at home and at office besides highlighted the issues regarding the issues women face at a daily basis.
