Srinagar, Mar 21: Kashmir Tehreek Khawateen Wednesday staged a peaceful protest against the killing of border residents across India and Pakistan.
The protest was led by KTK Chairperson Zamrooda Habib.
Carrying placards and banners, the protesters pitched for Indo-Pakistan friendship.
Pertinently, from past sometime, a number of civilians have been killed in both Indian and Pakistani parts of Jammu Kashmir.
At Devta Mehandar five members of a family were killed a couple of days back.
While talking to reporters, Zamrooda Habib said that India and Pakistan friendship is possible only after Kashmir issue gets resolved. She said that border killings are the fall out of Kashmir issue.
“We are not in favour of war but peace and talks. India should come forward and resolve the long pending Kashmir issue,” she said adding that both the countries will progress by leaps and bounds if they resolve this problem. (CNS)
