DAYALACHAK, March 8: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested the ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia and party workers while protesting against the atrocities of police against particular community at Dayalachak on Thursday . He was demanding the resignation of two BJP cabinet ministers who recently assured the protesting people to hand over the Ashifa murder case to CBI for transparent inquiry in the whole incident.
While protesting against the atrocities of police against the local people demanding CBI inquiry in Ashifa murder case at Dalayachak, ex-MLA and NPP state president Balwant Singh Mankotia made a scathing attack on two BJP cabinet minister Ch. Lal Singh and Industry Minister Chander Parkash Ganga that both ministers on Ist March 2018 assured the agitating people at Kutaah of Hiranagar to hand over the Ashifa murder case to CBI from crime branch of Jammu and Kashmir police.
Unfortunately, after passage of of time the case has not been handed over to CBI for fair probe and NPP demands resignation of two BJP cabinet ministers on moral grounds as both have failed to stand by their words and asked them to sit on dharna with the protesting people, regretted Mankotia.
Amazingly, family members of Ashifa and protesting villagers are demanding CBI inquiry in the whole matter but unfortunately by conducting the inquiry through crime branch people are being targeted for the vested interst, claimed Mankotia.
While making a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and blamed that innocent protesting people of particularly community are being targeted by the officials of crime branch on the behest of chief minister and BJP ministers have become mute spectator, alleged Mankotia.
Mankotia warned the state government that if Ashifa murder case would not be hand over to CBI, then NPP would knock the door of court to seek justice and truth of Ashifa rape and murder can be traced out in transparent manner so that culprits would be hanged for their heinous crime.
