Srinagar, March 02: Protest by Hindu chauvinists led by BJP leaders in support of a rapist and criminal height of shamelessness. Repression unleashed against Kashmiri prisoners indicative of undemocratic attitude of so-called rulers. Kulgam youth used as forced labor by Indian army is a glaring example of Kashmir Indian colonial mindset. This was stated by chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the ongoing oppression in Jammu Kashmir.
Meanwhile on JRL call, JKLF leaders and activists today gathered at Maisuma Lal Chowk and protested against the shifting of many inmates to Jammu jails, rallies by chauvinists in favor of the rapist and killer of innocent Muslim girl Asifa and other oppressive measures by Indian forces. Led by JKLF Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal protesters including vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Siraj ud din Mir, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Ashraf bin Salam, professor Javed , Meraj ud din Parray and others took out a protest rally from Madeena Chowk and marched towards Budshah Chowk where they sat on a protest sit-in. various JKLF leaders addressed protesters and strongly condemned the ongoing oppression unleashed against inmates and Jammu Muslims.
Terming the rallies by some Hindu chauvinists including Hindu Aikta Manch and BJP in Kuthwa Jammu in support of a rapist and murderer of innocent Asifa as utter shameful, JKLF chairman said that ironically from BJP assembly members to Indian PMO all are openly leading these shameful protests which are indicative of the fact that fascists using religion are trying to polarize Jammu for their petty gains. Does any religion or decency allow such shameless attitude which is being portrayed by so-called ruling regime in Kashmir? JKLF chairman said that Kashmiri Muslims are closely watching the situation in Jammu and will not allow anyone to inflict harm on any Muslim in Jammu. JKLF chairman said that an innocent girl was raped and murdered by a savage in uniform and subsequently arrested by Police but ironically those in power at Delhi and Srinagar who proclaim to follow revered Sita and Rhada instead of supporting the victim are brazenly supporting her rapist and killer. Saner people of Jammu should realize that this brazen support of a murderer and rapist is actually like putting a black stain on humanity, said Yasin Malik. JKLF chairman said that today when these reprehensible protests are held no Indian media channel or growling anchors that miss no opportunity to defame Kashmiri Muslims are seen shouting on it which actually is showing their real face. He said that communal fascist forces, their police and agencies should know that any untoward against Jammu Muslims will not be swallow by Kashmiri Muslims and if these anti-Muslim maneuvers do not stop immediately , Kashmiri Muslims will be forced to launch a protest campaign to save their brethren in Jammu.
Terming the repression unleashed by Indian forces, police and agencies against Kashmiri inmates as glaring example of the undemocratic attitude of Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that shifting jailed political activists, under-trials, lifers and those detained under black law PSA under the garb of one persons escape from detention is only vindictiveness and so-called PDP led regime and their police and agencies who by unleashing terror on poor inmates are demonstrating their frustration and animosity against Kashmiri Muslims. He said that all international covenants on prisoners and even Indian Supreme Court ruling clearly says that a prisoner be kept near his residence but so-called biggest democracy neither honors international human rights laws nor accepts its own court verdicts when it comes Kashmir and Kashmiris. JKLF chairman said that Joint Resistance Leadership will do everything possible to defend these innocent prisoners and all important forums and institutions will be moved to provide justice to these inmates.
While condemning the ongoing military operations, crackdowns, search operations throughout Kashmir valley, JKLF chairman said that now Kashmiri youth and elders are being used a bonded labor by Indian occupational forces. Reports about Kulgam youth being summoned to army camps and used as forced labor have actually refreshed us about old times of 90’s when this phenomenon was common and people used to be subjected to inhuman treatment by Indian forces. He said that forcing people to work as bonded-labor, beating them, intimidating and threatening them and hence pushing them to the wall, has been a common practice of all tyrants but history bears a witness to the fact that oppressors always fail to break the will of the oppressed and last triumph always belongs to the oppressed.
Meanwhile JKLF chairman has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of a Front activist Nazir Ahmad Khan of Gudar Kulgam, Ghulam Ahmad Zargar of Behrampora Rafiabad who was brother of JKLF activist Muhammad Azeem Zargar and Mother of another JKLF well-wisher Akhtar Hussain Rah of Nowgam. JKLF leaders including advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Abdul Sattar, Assadullah Sheikh and Abdul Rashid Magloo visited the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with them. While praying for the heavenly abode of all the deceased JKLF leaders also prayed for the Sabr I Jamil of their bereaved families.
